Gohma from Zelda in hama mini beads

I decided to make Gohma from Zelda today out of hama mini beads. I think he came out pretty cool. Let me know what you guys think of him :)

Republic gunship

I saw this revell easy kit at my local Entertainer for £4 which I thought was pretty good value. It is the star wars republic gunship which I think alot of people will agree is one of the top star wars vehicles.

I quickly opened the box and inspected the sprues. I was hoping for some tiny clone troopers but sadly they are attached to their seats and aren't very impressive. Though I guess at this scale they wouldn't be very big so putting them in the gunship would be a pain.

Overall I was pretty impressed though there were some very small plastic pins holding some of the parts together which were very hard to get right. I actually ended up snapping one of the pins but a bit of glue solved that problem :) The box says for ages 6+ but I think a 6 year old would struggle with this kit but maybe I'm just underestimating them!

Warhammer skeleton warriors small box

I wanted to buy a regiment of tomb kings skeleton warriors but could only find this small box of skeleton warriors. I thought I could use it to practice painting my colour scheme as I wanted to start a tomb kings army.

In the box is one sprue of skeleton warriors which pretty much just snap together. Though the 5 skeletons on the box are different to the sprue. One of the shields has a bat on it and you get two open jawed and one with an eye. While on the box it shows two with eyes and only one open jawed skeleton. You also get 8 bases while there are only 5 miniatures.

I am also not a great fan of the shields and was hoping to be able to change them easily but as you can see they are attached to the left arm. Though with them being attached you do get a nice strap and the skeleton actually looks like he is holding the shield rather than it just being stuck on.

Anyway I am looking forward to getting these painted up and hopefully will be posting the finished skeletons later on in the week :)
